A press conference will take place aboard the Rainbow Warrior at 10.30am on Sunday to announce details of the ship's voyage. A farewell will start at 11am and the ship will depart at 12 noon. The Rainbow Warrior will be joined at Moruroa by the MV Greenpeace and a flotilla of vessels from Tahiti, Chile, New Zealand, Australia, the United States, the Cook Islands and Germany. On Saturday 12 August the HMNZS Tui will depart for Moruroa with two New Zealand MPs on board. It leaves from Captain Cook Wharf, Auckland at 11.00am, arriving at Moruroa in late August. Other boats leaving soon include the Colonial Heritage and the Tara, both sailing under German flags from Rarotonga, the Lady Sephora and Stardust 48 both leaving from Tahiti, and the Maluhia departing from Tonga. Other boats are due to leave from New Zealand, Australia, the Cook Islands and Tahiti over the next few weeks. On 9 August the US boat Manutea (112ft) left San Francisco bound for Moruroa. The MV Greenpeace will reach Panama this Sunday and the Vega is due to leave Tahiti this weekend, both bound for Moruroa.
